ENGLEWOOD — Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) inducted 92 students into National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) on Sunday, March 19, 2017. The NTHS students, as well as their honored educators from MVCTC and their partner school district, were recognized in a ceremony at MVCTC in front of family and friends.

Students are selected for NTHS based on the following requirements: a 3.75-grade point average or higher, 97 percent attendance, passed all parts of the Ohio Graduation Test and instructor recommendations. Each of the 2017 inductees is the recipient of a $500 scholarship made possible by the MVCTC Education Foundation.

Eight students from Wayne High School were inducted. They are:

• Emalee Atha, enrolled in the Health Careers Academy program, chose to honor as her most significant educators Kiley Beyer (English Instructor) and Barbara Knepp from Wayne. Emalee is the daughter of David and Robin Atha of Huber Heights.

  • Ezequiel Balli, enrolled in the Auto Services program at MVCTC, chose to honor as his most significant educator Tony Gebhart (Auto Services Instructor). Ezequiel is the son of Marcos and Maribel Balli of Huber Heights.
  • Kylah Colbert, enrolled in the Early Childhood Education program, chose to honor as her most significant educators Lisa Werbrich (English Instructor) and Robyn Weaver from Wayne. Kylah is the daughter Canilla Colbert of Huber Heights.
  • Shannon Masters, enrolled in the Allied Health program at MVCTC, chose to honor as her most significant educators Tonya Barnett (Allied Health Instructor) and Mrs. Conti from Wayne. Shannon is the daughter of Franklin Pauley of Huber Heights and Bambi Masters of Huber Heights.
  • Katlynn Mckinley, enrolled in the Allied Health program, chose to honor as her most significant educators Ellen Bissey (Allied Health Instructor) and Mr. Berry from Wayne. Katlynn is the daughter of Todd and Dawn McKinley of Huber Heights.
  • Jasmine Milakovich, enrolled in the Dental Assistant program at MVCTC, chose to honor as her most significant educators Rob Klepinger (Science Instructor) and Alaina Wilson from Wayne. Jasmine is the daughter of Kevin and Michele Milakovich of Huber Heights.
  • Payton Ulrich, enrolled in the Graphic Commercial Photography program, chose to honor as her most significant educators Troy Baker (Graphic Commercial Photography Instructor) and Mrs. Knepp from Wayne. Payton is the daughter of William Ulrich of Venice, Florida and Angela Ulrich of Huber Heights.
  • Josie Zamora, enrolled in the Veterinary Science program at MVCTC, chose to honor as her most significant educators, Dr. Christa Nealeigh (Veterinary Science Instructor) and Tracie Weaver from Wayne. JOSIE is the daughter of Maria Molina of Huber Heights.
